چکیده
In this paper we present an overview of the M-ary Aggregate Spread Pulse Modulation (M-ASPM), and provide assessment its suitability advantages for use in low-power wide-area networks (LPWANs). Notably, M-ASPM combines high energy-per-bit efficiency, robustness, resistance to interference, a number other favorable technical characteristics, with spread-spectrum ability maintain network capacity while extending range. We quantify impact mutual interference multiple transmitters demonstrate how such capacity-preserving range extension can be achieved numerous desired areal distributions uplink nodes. Throughout paper, LoRa is used benchmark comparison quantification various features. particular, show that, sharing many essential properties LoRa, provides far more effective extension. When same manner as serve appealing alternative. addition, being different LPWAN solutions, designed concurrently operate spectral band geographical area, cooperatively complementing each other’s coverage.

متن کاملSpread Spectrum based M-ary Modulated Robust Image Watermarking
Spread Spectrum (SS) modulation principle has been widely used in digital watermarking due to its distinguishing characteristics viz. excellent security and robustness in performance. The use of wide spectrum of the host signal in message hiding process puts a limit on the data rate subject to a given embedding distortion. In SS communication the use of M– ary modulation is a popular extension ...

City-wide wireless mesh networks are a promising technology for offering ubiquitous Internet connectivity. These multi-hop wireless access networks consist of fixed and mobile nodes, which help each other relaying packets toward Internet gateways and back. The major challenge with these networks is to make them robust and scalable to their size. In this thesis, we therefore develop a scalable r...
متن کاملOn M-ary Distributed Detection for Power Constraint Wireless Sensor Networks
We consider a wireless sensor network (WSN), consisting of several sensors and a fusion center (FC), which is tasked with solving an M-ary hypothesis testing problem. Sensors make M-ary decisions and transmit their digitally modulated decisions over orthogonal channels, which are subject to Rayleigh fading and noise, to the FC. Adopting Bayesian optimality criterion, we consider training and no...
متن کاملM-Ary Phase Modulation for Digital Watermarking
In spread spectrum based watermarking schemes, it is a challenging task to embed multiple bits of information into the host signal. M -ary modulation has been proposed as an effective approach to multibit watermarking. It has been proved that an M -ary modulation based watermarking system outperforms significantly a binary modulation based watermarking system. However, in the existing M -ary mo...
